The Laser Co

The Laser Co commenced operating in 2014 and now produces custom signage solutions and provides a fast laser cutting service. Operating from the workshop in West Ryde, near the geographic centre of Sydney, The Laser Co ships Australia wide as well as International.

Signage

We provide handmade customised signage to the events, retail and many other markets in Australia and around the world. The signage solutions include:

• A-Frames (or Sandwich Boards): Made from locally sourced FSC Plywood with Acrylic and/or Vinyl. Our standard size is 595 mm wide x 850 mm high but can make the A-frames in a range of sizes
• Engraved Plywood & Timber Signs: Using local timbers and plywoods with laser engraved details.
• Layered Signs: with Acrylic and/or Vinyl “layered” onto a backing board, layered signs are used in shops, businesses and events.
• Floating Signs: these types of signs are individually cut Acrylic, Timber and Cardboard Letters/Logos that are positioned onto walls with adhesive tape, posts or with clear acrylic rails for green-wall applications.
• Light Boxes: Custom size lightboxes for illuminated signage.
• Timber Display Blocks: Solid timber that is worked into table stands, table talkers, POS display and other applications

The signage process is simple and as follows:

1. Quote. We need a few details to give an accurate quote for your signage project.
2. Invoice/Payment
3. Digital Proof: Final Approval of the Sign Design
4. Fabrication of the signage project
5. Delivery or Collection

Laser Cutting

Since 2014, The Laser Co has provided a laser cutting service to industrial, commercial & educational markets as well as the general public. Laser cutting projects can range from one-off projects to multiple copies ranging into 1000+ units.

We can cut & engrave plywoods, acrylic, polypropylene, cardboards, textiles, leather and many other non-metallic materials. The Laser Co can provide the materials, or you can supply materials, however, you will need to provide proof your material is laser safe. Our lasers cannot cut metals, glass or ceramics but can mark these materials.

With our 1300 x 900 mm laser engraver/cutters, we can handle all but the largest jobs.

The laser cutting process is simple and as follows:

1. Quote. We need your cutting file preferably in one of our templates or as a DXF or AI file format to give an accurate quote for your cutting project.
2. Invoice/Payment
3. Cutting of the job
4. Delivery or Collection
