Structural integrity Cork is bark tissue that is harvested and is both renewable and recyclable making it a sustainable product. A soft, flexible material.
Flexibility Very flexible, great for curves. Can snap if bent too much.

Engrave quality / legibility Engraves really well with clear result.
Score quality / legibility Scores really well with clear result.
Material burn Can get quite burnt on edges and slightly on engraved areas. Edges can be finished with a clear polyurethane spray to seal.
Transfer tape recommended? Can be used if a pristine finish is needed. Score/engrave/cut produces a little burn.
Example uses Cork is lightweight and adds great interest and texture to a variety of used. Particularly effective in architectural model making i.e. contour models.
Residue / handling Handling charred edges or engraved areas may leave hands dirty.
Lifespan / longevity Lasts well
Water Resistance Cork is an impermeable to liquid and gases and is also a buoyant material
